Happy Halloween!

The girls had a great time trick-or-treating today. They were accompanied by their Papa, Mama, Nona, Nono, Grandpa, Grandma, Tia Adri, and Samuel. Little do they know, that their dental hygienist mom is going to throw out most of their candy. As I tell them, "candy puts bugs on your teeth" Oh well, they will thank me later when they are cavity-free.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

Halloween Fun

This week has been full of Halloween fun for the girls. They had a halloween party at their dance class, and also in preschool. We went to a traditional Chicago parking lot pumpkin patch to "pick" our pumpkins. We then carved them. And of course we will go trick-or-treating on Sunday. But until then, here are some of the pictures from this week. Just in case, you can't figure it out, they are Care Bears. Eva is Love-a-lot bear and Sofia is Good Luck bear.

Bears Tailgating

For the last two Bears home games, we tailgated before we went to the game. It was our first time. For the Seattle Seahawks game we went with my mom and dad, Bobby and Christina, and the girls. For the Washington Redskins game, we went with Vanessa and Alfredo ("the enemy" as Rick called him because he is a Redskins fan) We had such a great time at both games, despite the fact that the Bears lost both games. Oh well, Go Bears!!

Preschool!!!

This entry is out of order, but I realized that I never put pictures up
of the girls' first day of school. It has now been two and a half months, and I still find it hard to believe that my babies are going to school.

Rocket Run 2010

So, as most of you know, the girls have started preschool. They are attending Alphonsus Academy and Center of the Arts. We are very happy with the school, and finally so are the girls. Well, during the school year there are two fund raisers that they hold. One of them is the Rocket Run. All the students run, the older ones around the city block of the school, and the younger ones around the parking lot. The girls did a great job running, and had such a fun time doing it. And to top it off, with the generous help of some family, friends, and co-workers, the Cordova family was among the four top families to raise the most pledge money in the whole school!!!! Thank you to all who donated!!!

Girls trip to Maryland

At the end of September, the girls and I went to Maryland to visit my sister. It was our first "girls trip", no Papa. It went really well. The flight over and back was great. It is only an hour and 20 minute flight, which is perfect for a couple 3 year olds.
We were all very excited to see Vanessa when we got there. It had been since June. We had a wonderful time with her and Alfredo. And I was especially happy to see that she is doing really well out there.

Rick's 10 yr USAFA Reunion

This past September, Rick and I flew to Colorado Springs to attend his 10 year reunion of the United States Air Force Academy. Since we dated starting his junior year, I felt like I was going to my reunion too. It was so great being there again. Recalling all the fun and romantic memories I have of that place. Needless to say, we had a wonderful trip.
