Tia Adri and Samuel Visit

Over the weekend, we were lucky to have Adri and Samuel come visit us.  We had a fun time.  We watched the Cubs beat the White Sox in a spring training game.  We drove to Sedona for a Pink Jeep Tour, and went hiking all the way up to the top of Squaw Peak.

Pooltime!!

Yep!  You are seeing the picture correctly.  Eva and Sofia ARE in our pool.  With the temps reaching 90 degrees today, they decided that it was time to open the pool for the season.  I won't be ready to jump in until June.  I need the water a little warmer.  But, as you can see, they don't.



Ostrich Festival

Today, we went to Ostrich Festival in Chandler, AZ.  It is a big carnival, that features ostrich races.  The ostrich races are funny and something we had never seen before.  We had a fun afternoon!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Go Hawks!!!

Rick and I went to the Blackhawks game on Thursday night here in Phoenix.  It was my first live hockey game.  WOW!! What an amazing and exciting experience!!!  We were seated in the second row behind the glass, so every time the puck or the players would hit up against it, it felt and sounded like it was going to shatter.  It's an intense experience! 

What was even more surprising, was it felt like we were at the United Center, playing against the Coyotes.  Without exaggerating, 80% of the crowd were Blackhawk fans.  It proves how strong of a Chicago presence there is in Phoenix.

The Hawks won 2-1!!  Definitely something we will do every time they come play against the Arizona Coyotes.

Spring Training!

Today we went to Sloan Park in Mesa, AZ.  It's where the Cubs train and play in spring.  What a beautiful and first class park.  It is a mini Wrigley Field, but newer!  Unfortunately, the Cubs lost.  That's not new!  Either way, GO CUBS!!

40 Years YOUNG!!!

Yep! This is the year, that I will be turning the big 4-0!!!  And joining me will be none other than my three best friends.  Now, two already have crossed over to the dark side, and the other two are still rockin' our 30's.  This past weekend I traveled to Chicago and we all enjoyed a birthday celebration at The Boarding House.  What's funny was the restaurant is in the same building this dance club use to be in, 720's.  We have a lot of memories in that place! Some of us remember more than others, but nonetheless, all fun memories!  We have come full circle.  When we were able to stay up late and and drink and dance the night away, the place was a dance club.  And now that we prefer to eat, drink and talk, the place is a restaurant.  Next time we go back,, it'll be a nursing home!!!  hahahaha!!  Just kidding!

 I will say, though, that 40 hasn't looked as good until we joined in!!
