Our Godfamily

On Saturday, we had the Scott family over for dinner and for the kids to play. The girls had so much fun together, and even the boys found some fun things to play with amongst all the girly stuff. It was great having them all here!

Happy Halloween!

This year for Halloween, Eva was Snow White and Sofia was Supergirl. They had their usual halloween party at school and then we went trick-or-treating with their cousin Alex.
So much fun, so much candy!!

Some things you never outgrow

So when the girls were about a year a half old I put them inside a box to play. Well, this time around, they put themselves in the box. I guess somethings you never outgrow

Tailgating

Last Sunday, we tailgated for the Bears vs. Minnesota Vikings game. It ended being a great fall day, with no rain and delicious food courtesy of Rick. Plus, Herb came into town to join us, so that made it even better. The Bears won 39-10!!
GO BEARS!!!

Rocket Run!!

This was the girls' second time doing Rocket Run. For preschool and kindergarten, the kids just run around the parking lot, but since it was raining, they ran around the gym.

Flowergirls

This past Saturday, Oct.8th, Rick older brother, Mani got married to Jennifer Craig. The girls were lucky to be part of the wedding, serving as flowergirls. Not only was it a beautiful day, it was a beautiful ceremony and a fun reception. And the girls...dancing machines!!! I was worried before the wedding, that they weren't going to last the whole reception, but they proved me wrong. They dance the WHOLE ENTIRE NIGHT, from 8pm, when the music started, to midnight, when they kicked us out!! Yep, they definitely take after mama!!

Visiting Vanessa

This past weekend, the girls and I took a "girls only" trip to Maryland to visit my sister, Vanessa. It was so great spending the whole weekend with her, and her boyfriend Alfredo. The girls love their Tia Vanessa, and had so much fun being with her.
We love you Vanessa!!

New Orleans

For the second game of the season, Rick and I took a road trip to New Orleans to watch the Bears play the Saints. It had been 14 years since I had been to New Orleans. I went my senior year in college for Mardi Gras. Needless to say, I did not to any sight-seeing on that trip. But this time around we were able to appreciate how beautiful and full of history New Orleans is. The only bad part of our trip was the Bears getting smashed by the Saints 13-30.
Oh well, we still loved New Orleans.
