We took our first family trip to Millenium Park on Saturday.

The girls were baptized on Sunday September 16th at St. Joseph's church. That is the same church that Rick and I were married in. The girls were VERY grouchy and sleepy, so throughout the whole ceremony they cried!!! It's amazing how noises echo through the church! Anyways, we got through it and they were happy after we got home and they were fed and took a short nap.Those are my girls!!!

Here are the girls with their Uncle Aaron!! He is actually Eva's godfather, and he flew out to Chicago from Los Angeles to be here for the baptism. We are lucky to have him as part of our family now!!

Delayed Blogs

I wanted to apologize for taking so long in posting blogs. To be quite honest with you, the few times during the day that I am not with the girls, blogging is that last thing I feel like doing. But I promise I will try to get updates up at least once a week. Thanks for your patience and understanding!!

Sunday Afternoon

Today we spent Sunday afternoon with Nona and Nono. As you can see from the pictures the girls LOVED being there. They also loved their new toy, the jumperoo.

The girls are always smiling, just not when the camera is in front of them and never at the same time. So here is Eva smiling with Sofia, and then I was finally able to get a smile out of Sofia, but alone.

Lunch Date

We had lunch today with Allie and her 3 months old son James. If you remember him from a previous posting, you can see that he has grown a lot. It was fun seeing all three of them together, even though the girls really didn't notice him (YET!!)

Best Friends

It is so wonderful seeing Eva and Sofia interact with each other. They will immediately smile as soon as they see their sister, and will talk to each other. I always wonder if they have a secret twin language. By their conversations, it seems like they do.

Visiting Mom's Work

On Sept 17th I am going back to work. It will only be part time, one and half days. On Monday, I took the girls to my office so that everyone could meet them and so they could see where Mama was going to be on Mondays and Tuesdays.

On Friday August 17th, Rick and I got to go to the Cubs game. We won the tickets from WXRT. My aunt watched the girls and my cousin came by afterwards to say hello.

We are so happy for Lindsay, Kevin, and Caroline. They have been blessed with the arrival of the newest member of their family. Clayton is a lucky little boy to have a mom, dad, and sister like them.

Today was a very special day. We asked Lindsay and Kevin to be godparents to Sofia and Adri to be godmother to Eva. They are such an important part of our lives, that it is great for them to now officially be family.

Hoy fue un dia muy especial. Le pedimos a Lindsay y Kevin que sean padrinos de Sofia, y Adri que sea madrina de Eva. Son tan importante en nuestras vidas, que es lindos que finalmente sean familia.

Retro on Roscoe

The girls went to their first Retro on Roscoe Festival. It was fun walking around, and taking in the sites. We all enjoyed ourselves.

Uncle Bobby

Bobby came to visit us last weekend. He is interviewing for a job here in Chicago. That would be wonderful if he gets the job! He was great with the girls.

Happy 3 months Birthday!!

Wow!! The girls are 3 months now. I can't believe it! For their birthday, they got their ears pierced. They look so cute. But of course, I'm biased.

Tummytime

The girls are getting so much better at tummytime. From one day to the next Sofia was able to hold her head up high. Eva has been able to for a while, now she is working on moving forward. She is always on the move, as opposed to Sofia, who loves to take it all in.

Look How We've Grown!

It is amazing how quickly three months can go by and how different the girls act and look. They are both so active. They love to talk to each other and to others. The best part so far are their smiles. They melt my heart!
