We' re Back!!

It has been almost two months since I have blogged. To be honest with you I just got tired of doing it. I needed a break. Anyways, we are back. A lot has changed since June. The girls are now officially TODDLERS. They are walking, running, and showing a lot of personality and opinions. They aren't talking yet, but they definitely get their point across. They love being outdoors, LOVE reading, and love eating. Here are a whole bunch of pictures from the last month or so, starting from today.

Today I decided to take the girls to the Lincoln Park Zoo. The last time we went was their first time, but it was cold. This time the weather was beautiful!!! Here are some shots of our day.

Uncle Herb visits

Uncle Herb arrived on Sunday. We had fun playing with him. He was so surprised at how big the girls had gotten. We love Uncle Herb!!

Happy Father's Day!!

Sunday was a great day. Thankfully, the weather turned out to be nice and Rick, my dad, and Rick's dad were able to enjoy their day. We had the whole family over. Here are some pictures from last year and this year. It's fun to see the changes.

They are WALKING!!!

Yes, Eva and Sofia have both started walking. It is so fun watching them practice, and also so scarey to think that in a couple weeks I will have two toddlers walking and running around the house. Oh, boy!!

We finally got the girls their pool for the back. And today was the perfect day to use it. They love the water!

Nona and Nono even came by to see their cool babies splash around. "Cool" must run in the family.

Tuesday May 13th was my birthday. What a beautiful day it ended up being. The four of us went to dinner to our favorite neighborhood restaurant, Piazza Bella. I had a great day!!!

Happy Mother's Day!!

Though the weather was horrible on mother's day, I still enjoyed the day completely. We celebrated with my family and Rick's family. Check our what a difference a year makes.

It is my birthday on Tuesday, May 13th. I will be 33 years YOUNG!! So Saturday I celebrated it with my family, and a yummy dinner and cake.

Meet Baba Chanchi

Sofia has grown quite attached to this little piggy. She sleeps with him, and cuddles with him when it is naptime or bedtime. Since he smells like her spit and is a piggy, I decided to name him "Baba Chanchi". Translated from spanish, it means spitty piggy.

Tricycles

For their birthday, my parents bought the girls tricycles. They love playing with them, because they have music and games on the handle bars. They also love being pushed around by Rick and I outside.

Today is my mom's birthday. The girls and I surprised her at work by showing up and taking her out to lunch. Tomorrow we will all get together to celebrate with a barbque and cake!!
