On Sunday night, we were all hanging out in the girls room. All of a sudden, Sofia decided she wanted something on the other side of the room, so she got on her hands and knees and started crawling!! Rick and I were very excited to see her finally do it.

Our First Visit to the Zoo
On Sunday, we took advantage of the "beautiful" weather, and took a family trip to Lincoln Park Zoo. It was the first time the girls had been there. They loved it. We only got to see the south end of the zoo, mostly the monkeys, and the farm animals. It also was the first time we had lunch outside of our house. They were such big girls, sitting in the high chairs, and eating lunch. We also had a family photo shoot in one of those booths. We all had so much fun!!!

The Latest News
It has been a while since I last updated the blog, so here are the going ons. Sofia is finally standing up on her own. She doesn't crawl, but she gets around anyways. Eva has gained speed with her crawling, and she has learned how to go up the stairs. Both of them are much more vocal, and love using their upper range by having screaming matches with each other. In one of the videos you can see Sofia cracking up (sorry the beginning of the video is sideways) and in the other Eva is doing her scary sound. To translate for you, I am asking her to scare you. Enjoy.

Nine Months!!
On Monday, the girls will be nine months old! They are becoming such buddies. Eva, who is a little comedian, makes Sofia laugh all the time, which in turn makes Eva laugh. Eva is now getting up on EVERYTHING!! Sofia has started trying to pull herself up to a kneel, and she rocks back and forth on all fours. So crawling is in our future!!! Can you imagine TWO mobile babies?!?! AAAHHHH!!!
El lunes, las nenas cumpliran nueve meses! Son bien companeras. Eva, quien es mas graciosa, siempre la hace reir a Sofia, y eso la hace reir a Eva. Eva se anda parando en TODO!! Sofia esta tratando de ponerse de rodillas, y tambien esta a punto de gatiar. Se imaginan DOS bebes gatiando en diferentes direcciones?!?! AAAHHHH!!!

Happy 27th Birthday Tia Vanessa!!
Vanessa turned 27 on the 11th. Here she is with "the Ladies" as she calls them.
Adventures in Eating
The Girls have started eating finger foods. It is fun introducing them to new stuff. I have also started letting them feed themsleves with their spoons. Half of the food gets in their mouth, the other half either on their face, hands, the chair, the floor, or me. And then there are the sippy cups, they finally figured out how to drink the juice.

8 Months Old
The girls are now eight months. Everyday they surprise us with some new trick. Eva can now STAND holding on to something, and Sofia has a new Cheesy smile!!!

Everyone's Getting Bigger
On Thursday the girls and I got together with their Tia Lindsay, Caroline, Clayton, Michelle, and Cayden. The last time we all saw each other, the girls were only about one month old, and Clayton hadn't even been born yet. Now the girls are 8 months, Clayton is 4 1/2 months, Caroline is 22 months, and Cayden is 17 months. You can see from the two picture how fast they all have grown!!!

The Ladies and their Men
We spent Chirstmas day over at our house with Rick's dad, brothers and nephews. I feel sorry for the future suitors Eva and Sofia are going to have. They are going to have to deal with all the male cousins and uncles the girls have. Here are the girls with all their body guards.

I think the gift, this Christmas, we all most enjoyed ,was the Radio Flyer the girls got from their Nona and Nono.

Not only did the girls get great gifts at their Nono and Nona's house, they were also lucky enough to get gifts on Christmas morning!

Being daughters of a dental hygienist, they are expected to have beautiful, clean, cavity-free teeth. As you can see, they are off to a good start!!

This afternoon when I went in to wake the girls up from their nap, I was greeted by Eva. She was standing up on her knees holding on to the crib.
Visiting Santa Claus
We took the girls today to go see Santa Claus at the Macy's on State St. They did great! They weren't scared nor did they cry.
