Our visit to the Garfield Park Conservatory

Today my mom, me, Eva, and Sofia went to the Garfield Park Conservatory. This place is so beautiful. You feel like you are in a tropical forest, so lush and green. Unfortunately, it was raining so we weren't able to see the outside gardens, but that will give us a reason to return. The pictures I took do the place no justice what so ever, but here they are anyways.

Our little Picassos

The girls have started coloring. I put up their very first artwork on the refridgerator. I have a feeling we are going to need a bigger fridge in the future.

Bears' Football season has begun!

We are very excited about the beginning of football season. Hopefully the Bears continue to play as well as they did against the Colts. Too bad we didn't perform like that the last time we played them (the Super Bowl!!!!!!)

Life's a Beach!!

This past Monday we took the girls to the beach for the first time. It was the perfect morning for it. They were a little unsure about the waves, but they loved the sand and being able to run around

The Girls' First Cubs game!!!!

Rick and I took the girls to their very first Cubs game today. They were playing the Cincinnati Reds. We were thinking that they would only last, at the most, 6-7 innings. But they surprised us by lasting the whole 9 innings. It was so much fun being their as a family, and even better that the Cubs won 3-2!!! This is our year!!!
GO CUBS GO!!!!!!!!!
"Where did they say they were taking us?"

"Can't you see I'm trying to watch the game here?"

"Can we get our own seats next time?"Len and Bob are the Cubs TV announcers

We' re Back!!

It has been almost two months since I have blogged. To be honest with you I just got tired of doing it. I needed a break. Anyways, we are back. A lot has changed since June. The girls are now officially TODDLERS. They are walking, running, and showing a lot of personality and opinions. They aren't talking yet, but they definitely get their point across. They love being outdoors, LOVE reading, and love eating. Here are a whole bunch of pictures from the last month or so, starting from today.
