First Day of school!
Today, the girls started at Alphonsus Academy and Center for the Arts. They are attending a Tots program on Thursday from 8-10am with me. It is a way to introduce them to a school atmosphere before they actually start pre-school next year. Even though I was with them, I still got emothional driving over to the school. I can't believe how fast my babies are growing up. They had a great time in class today, and it will be fun to see
how they development throughout the school year.

Family Cubs game
On Wednesday Rick, me, the girls, Nona, Nono, and Tia Vanessa went to the cubs game. It had been years since my parents had been to a game. When we were young we would go all the time, so I thought it was well over due we go again as a family. Of course this time with a couple more additions to the family. Unfortunately, the Cubs lost, BUT we had a great time!

"Bear Down, Chicago Bears..."
On Saturday night, Rick and I took the girls to their very first Chicago Bears game. Both the girls got into the game, cheering, high-fiving everyone around us, and of course singing the "Bear Down" song. We ended up beating the NY Giants 17-3. We were looking good.
Hopefully that continues all season.

California Dreamin'
Last Wednesday August 12th, we took our first trip to California with the girls. It was their first airplane ride also. They did great on the plane (Thank God for portable DVD players!!) The trip itself was an experience. It was definitely NOT a vacation. At points, it was very stressful, and then it would be wonderful. All in all, the girls had a great time playing on the beach, going to Sea World, and meeting all our friends back in L.A. and San Diego.
