Happy Halloween!!!

This year Eva was Tinkerbell and Sofia was Spidergirl, AND Mama was a bumble bee!!!  Yes, this year, even I dressed up.  The girls had a great and busy day, filled with halloween parties and lots of trick-or-treating.

We stopped at Nona and Nono's house to show off our costumes, and guess who else was dressed up?! NONA!!

Goebbert's Pumpkin farm

This year, we decided to try a new pumpkin farm to get our pumpkins.  Me and the girls went with Nona.  We all had a fun day, but didn't end up getting the pumpkins there.  They were too expensive, especially since I could get them at Mariano's for $5.  So we enjoy the activities there, and then stopped at Mariano's for our pumpkins!!

First Concert!!

Rick and I took the girls to their very first music concert, The Fresh Beat Band.  They have a show on Nickelodeon, that the girls use to watch more of when they didn't have school.  They had a good time, but if you ask Rick, Mama had a better time!  I knew almost all the songs, and you know me, I wasn't shy to sing them out loud!!!

Rocket Run

This was the girls last Rocket Run.  They have done 3, including this years'.  At all 3 of them, they have always been able to raise a good amount of money for the school.  That is all thanks to YOU!!!  So thank you so much, for every penny that you have all donated in their name.  We all appreciate it!!

The Mayor

So, while Rick and I were in New York, the girls were hanging our with the mayor of Chicago, Mr. Rahm Emmanuel.  Apparently, they all like to shop at Target!!
Really though, they had no idea, who their Tia Vanessa was forcing them to take a picture with.  When she told them he was the mayor, their response, "What's a mayor??"  Oh well,  they'll appreciate this picture later in life.

The Big Apple!

Last weekend, Rick and I took a much deserved trip to New York city!  We had a wonderful time, with perfect weather, delicious food, in an amzing city.  Thank you to Nona, Nono, and Tia Vanessa for taking care of the girls, so that we could enjoy some alone time.

Our annual Girls trip to Maryland

This past weekend, me and the girls took our annual "girls trip" to Maryland to go visit my sister and her fiancee Alfredo.  Luckily this time around, Vy was also in the Washington DC area, so we got to spend time with her too.  On Saturday, we enjoyed a perfect fall day at Butler's Orchard pumpkin festival.  And then that night we had dinner with Tia Vy, and Alfredo's mom, Imelda.
It was a fun weekend!
