For the girls birthdays, instead of toys or material gifts, we like to give them a trip to somewhere. This year for their 8th birthday, we got them a trip to LEGOLAND by San Diego. We drove out Friday morning and came back Sunday night. LEGOLAND was fun. It's an amusement park for kids up to 10 years old, I would say. The girls rode all the roller coasters, with no problems. We stayed the first night at the LEGOLAND hotel and on Saturday after we were done with the park, we headed 40 minutes south to San Diego, and stayed a night there. We had not been to San Diego in about 4 years. We had forgotten how much we love it!
