Ice Skating

My Sister came out for a weekend awhile ago. Since she and I both know how to ice skate, we took advantage of the weather and took the girls ice sktaing for the first time.
Rick also came with. He was the photographer and our cheer section,
since he isn't much of an Evan Lycechek AT ALL

Pump It Up

I took the girls to this inflatable jumping park, called Pump It Up. They had a great time. And so did I, since I was allowed to go on all the jumpers with them!!

Happy Valentine's Day

On Valentine's day, Rick took his three valentines (me, Eva, and Sofia) to the Four Season's Hotel for their special valentine's day brunch. It was the most delicious brunch I have ever been to. And the girls had fun dressing up and eating very fancy mac n' cheese.
After brunch we went up to the John Hancock observatory to take a look at the beautiful view of Chicago. We all had an awesome day!!!

Vanessa's Surprise Birthday/ Going Away Party

On Saturday Jan. 9th, Rick and I threw Vanessa a surprise party to celebrate her 29th birthday and to say Good Luck and Farwell. She moved to Maryland on Tuesday Jan. 12th to be with her sweetie, Alfredo. It was quite a feat keeping this party a surprise. Vanessa decided two weeks before the party that she was going to throw herself a party at a club downtown. She invited almost everyone off of her Facebook page. Well, little did she know 30 of her closest friends were already going to be here, waiting to surprise her. With the help of a lot of little white lies, she was completely shocked when she walked in that Saturday night.
We love you Vanessa!!! and WE MISS YOU SOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Waiting for the guest of honor

How 'Bout Them Cowboys?!!!

For my birthday last year, Rick gave me two tickets w/airfare to go see the Dallas Cowboys play the Philadelphia Eagles at the new Cowboy Stadium. Well, for anyone who knows me, they know I LOVE the Cowboys, and so does my dad. He is the reason why I am a Cowboys fan
(much to Rick's dismay!!!)
I had the most WONDERFUL time!!! The time I got to spend with my dad, one on one, was priceless. Cheering for the Cowboys, with the other 100,620 Cowboy fans, was just amazing!! Seeing the monstrousity of Cowboy Stadium was breath-taking. No picture does it justice.
Plus, the Cowboys shut out the Eagles 24-0!!!!!

Gingerbread House

On the last day of school before Christmas break, the girls got to make their own gingerbread houses. Or really only Sofia got to make one, because Eva had to unfortunately stay home. She had a fever. The girls' teacher was nice enough, though, to give me all the supplies
Eva needed to make one at home later.
