Double Celebration!!

This year, my birthday and mother's day fell on the same day, May 13th!  The last time this happened, was on my very first mother's day, 5 years ago.  I must say, that it is so special to be able to celebrate those two occasions together.  I had a beautiful day.  We started off with brunch at the Red Canary, and then headed to my parents to spend the rest of the day there.  Not only was the weather perfect, but we, as a family, found our first cache.  Yes, we went geocaching!!  So much fun!  I definitely recommend it if you have never done it before.  Anyways,  the day ended with a delicious barbeque and yummy cake.  Nothing could have been better!

For my mom's birthday, all us ladies went to go see the musical CATS.  It is my favorite musical since I first saw it in high school.  This was my 5th time seeing it.  I was hoping that the girls would love it as much as I do.  And they did!!  I still have the cassettes of the soundtrack from the musical, and they listen to it every night.  Yes, I actually still have a device to play the few cassettes I have left.  The girls dance and sing to all the songs, and ask when they will get to see the musical again.  Next time its back in town, we're going back to see it!

Happy 5th Birthday Eva and Sofia!!!

It is so difficult to believe that my two babies are now 5years old!!! I feel like I just blinked and they are now so big. We celebrated their birthday this year with family. They had so much fun, and we all appreciate everyone being here. It is so important that the girls see how lucky they are to have so much family around them. Happy Birthday Eva and Sofia!! We all love you!!

Birthday celebration at School

On Thursday, the girls celebrated their 5th birthday at school with all their friends. I took a pinata, party hats, and some yummy fruit popsicles for the whole class to enjoy. The girls had so much fun!  Just the beginning to their BIG 5 birthday celebration!

Spring break in Arizona

Over the girls' spring break, we took a trip to Phoenix, Arizona to spend the week with Rick. The weather was fine, but not as hot as I would have liked it. Oh well, we still had a great week.
