Go Hawks!!!

Rick and I went to the Blackhawks game on Thursday night here in Phoenix. It was my first live hockey game. WOW!! What an amazing and exciting experience!!! We were seated in the second row behind the glass, so every time the puck or the players would hit up against it, it felt and sounded like it was going to shatter. It's an intense experience!

What was even more surprising, was it felt like we were at the United Center, playing against the Coyotes. Without exaggerating, 80% of the crowd were Blackhawk fans. It proves how strong of a Chicago presence there is in Phoenix.

The Hawks won 2-1!! Definitely something we will do every time they come play against the Arizona Coyotes.

Spring Training!

Today we went to Sloan Park in Mesa, AZ. It's where the Cubs train and play in spring. What a beautiful and first class park. It is a mini Wrigley Field, but newer! Unfortunately, the Cubs lost. That's not new! Either way, GO CUBS!!

40 Years YOUNG!!!

Yep! This is the year, that I will be turning the big 4-0!!! And joining me will be none other than my three best friends. Now, two already have crossed over to the dark side, and the other two are still rockin' our 30's. This past weekend I traveled to Chicago and we all enjoyed a birthday celebration at The Boarding House. What's funny was the restaurant is in the same building this dance club use to be in, 720's. We have a lot of memories in that place! Some of us remember more than others, but nonetheless, all fun memories! We have come full circle. When we were able to stay up late and and drink and dance the night away, the place was a dance club. And now that we prefer to eat, drink and talk, the place is a restaurant. Next time we go back,, it'll be a nursing home!!! hahahaha!! Just kidding!

I will say, though, that 40 hasn't looked as good until we joined in!!

Father Daughter Dance 2015

For Valentine's day we were lucky enough to have Bobby, Christina, Aaron, Lateefah, and Lena with us. All of them flew into Phoenix for the long weekend. It has been wonderful having them all here. We are blessed to have great friends like them.

Tia Vy in Phoenix!!

We were blessed to have Vy come visit us for one whole week!! It was amazing having her here and we took full advantage of her time here. Thank you Vy for spending time with us! We all had a wonderful time!! and we miss you already!!
