On Sunday we went to Lakewood Forest Preserve in Lake Forest. They have a 68 acre dog park, and then just across the street is the forest preserve which is 2,000 and some acres of woods and park. We found a little spot right by the playground.
We all had a wonderful morning. We got to the dog park at 10:00am, and then headed over to the picnic spot at around 11am. It was the first time we had a family picnic. The girls did great all day, and did really well eating at the picnic table. This was a great intro to camping, which hopefully next summer we will attempt.
