So every year, on the Sunday before the first day of school, Alphonsus Academy has, what is called, Academy Day. They start the day in the church with a school wide mass, and then following it up with a barbeque lunch at the school. At that time, the kids and parents are allowed to go into their new classrooms and meet their new teachers. This year the girls are starting kindergarten, and will be in separate classrooms. They were each very excited to go into their own classroom and explore their new environment. And both very happy to meet their own kindergarten teachers. After seeing how enthusiastic and calm they were, Rick and I realized that they would be fine, and in turn, so would we. I am so proud of my little girls!
